MapInfo and GPS
Why use GPS with MapInfo? * Real-time data acquisition - it’s complete and finished when you are * Quality control right in the field - reception problems are visible * Parcel data (etc.) is right at your fingertips * Use photos to help you locate yourself (or find property corners) * problems downloading/importing GPS data are eliminated But … * the fragile laptop can be a lot to lug around * sometimes it’s easier just to collect waypoints with the GPS alone.
