When to call SGSI

We're here to help when you need anything related to MapInfo Corporation products and spatial technology generally.

For software solutions to tough problems

To arrive at the best solution, we first understand your problem, then apply our detailed knowledge of the alternative software & map products. Specialized industry maps, in particular, have significant technical pros and cons. We know it doesn't help to get a great price on the wrong products.

To receive software or maps fast

Ask SGSI about our "Quick Ship" program. We stock many MapInfo products in Seattle and can often get products to you in hours.

To get the "right" products

SGSI does more than quote and ship products.  We define "success" as delivering the "right"  products, not just the "right" price. We believe it is also our task to suggest alternatives that could address your business problem more cheaply.

To get the "right" licensing

Products can be licensed in many ways including: "named user", "volume", "single application", "power unit", "per cpu", "per transaction" and "server" licenses. We can often save you money by identifying the best license type and taking into account the licenses you already have.

Want centralized license tracking, so you don't buy more than you need?  We do this for all our volume license customers.

To improve user or developer skills

SGSI trainers deliver high quality training throughout the US. If you are in the Seattle area our training is even more convenient.
Options:

  • Custom on-site training for call center operators, engineers, or other groups.

  • Project-specific "rent-a-tech" services to jump-start individual users or developers.

To customize MapInfo Pro or MapXtreme

Nearly half of our staff are developers. Ask us for a quote for development projects such as the following:

  • High-speed batch map generation scripts/MBXs: e.g., for market/dealer profiles, FCC auction support, site selection/profiling.

  • Web-based map systems: e.g., for dealer locators, service availability & "coverage locator" systems, and executive information systems.

  • Web-based distribution, routing, provisioning &/or work-force management applications.

  • Customizing Vertical Mapper to implement your algorithms or models.

  • Web-based real-time network status maps & data warehouse tools.

"I just wanted to write a quick email to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent MapInfo/MapMarker training class. Before I begin telling you about the class I would just like to say that Laurel Griffin is great. Somehow, I got in touch with her a couple of years ago through ... corporate employees who could not answer my MapInfo questions.
"She was willing and happy to help. Throughout this time she has ALWAYS answered my questions and went above and beyond to help me. Our recent class was no different. She enthusiastically taught our class and made the material fun with her great personality. We all learned a great deal about the software and it's potential.
"She definitely has the heart of a teacher and her people skills are of the caliber that you seldom see from technical trainers. I look forward to working with Laurel with my future MapInfo questions!
"
